The chilling discovery was made at 20th and Ritner streets around 2:34 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, when officers from the 3rd District responded to reports of a shooting, Philadelphia police said.
Inside the luxury car, officers found a 56-year-old man slumped over, a single bullet lodged in the back of his skull. Medics from Engine 11 pronounced him dead at 2:50 p.m.
No weapon was found at the scene, and the shooter remains on the loose, according to investigators.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit are actively investigating, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. A $20,000 reward is being offered for tips leading to an arrest and conviction.
